PLEASE NOTE: THE SURGERY HAS RECENTLY STARTED SENDING TEXT MESSAGE INVITES FOR THE COVID VACCINE, KINDLY MAKE SURE THAT YOUR MOBILE NUMBER IS UP-TO-DATE TO RECEIVE THESE INVITES. 

PLEASE NOTE:  ALL GP APPOINTMENTS REMAIN TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS ONLY, THE GP OR NURSE WILL CALL YOU AS CLOSE TO THE APPNT TIME AS POSSIBLE. IF THE GP FEELS YOU NEED TO BE SEEN FACE TO FACE, THEY WILL MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR AN APPOINTMENT FACE TO FACE, WEARING FULL PPE.

OUR NURSING TEAM ARE SEEING PATIENTS IN FULL PPE FOR INJECTIONS,  WOUNDCARE, BLOOD TESTS CHILDHOOD IMMS & SMEARS.  PLEASE CALL THE APPNTS LINE. REVIEW OF DIABETES AND RESPIRATORY LONG TERM CONDITIONS REMAIN TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS. (unless told otherwise)

If the GPs are emailing you correspondence, please allow at least 24 hours.

If asked to attend a face to face appointment please ensure you wear a face covering/mask.

If you wish to send a photograph to assist your consultation for example for rashes, lumps & bumps, please ensure the subject field states the GP who requested and your name and DOB. (only upon GPs request or if you have a confirmed appointment)

We want you to know you aren’t alone. However dementia affects you, Alzheimer’s Society is therefor you - and they can help you seven days a week through their support line (0333 150 3456), online community Talking Point and website.   

PLEASE CONTACT OUR COMMUNITY MIDWIVES ZOE STRACHAN (07971981471) OR MAY NGU (07866671243) DIRECT IF YOU NEED TO SEE THE MIDWIFE AND THEY WILL ORGANISE YOU AN APPOINTMENT. THIS INCLUDES NEWLY PREGNANT PATIENTS.

Note - Cervical Cytology - Please be aware there is a current delay in the practice receiving smear results.  Current turnaround is between 10 - 12 Weeks from the lab. Cytology are doing everything they can do to ensure results are processed as quickly as possible.  

From Friday the 1st May 2020 the practice will be offering extended access appointments on

Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings 

These appointments are being made available to patients who are registered with our practices within our primary care network. Please call our appointment line on 373 2211 for further advice.

Saturday Nursing Appointments are on hold for the foreseeable future.

EPS - You Must Nominate A Pharmacy For Your Electronic Prescription Service

You will still order your prescriptions in the same way but they are sent to the pharmacy electronically. Note you do not have to have a computer at home for this.   

If you request items that are not on repeat these have to be agreed with the GP and may be refused.   Due to the increase in volume of prescription requests please allow 3 full working days between requesting and collecting your medication taking weekends and Bank Holidays into account. 

Note: Emails to the Practice should not be used for clinical queries due to confidentiality and the potential for it being urgent. Practice email account is not monitored 24/7.

Practice Management

The Practice Business Manager, Office Manager and Lead Receptionist are involved in managing all of the aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The management team support the GPs, medical professionals and administrative staff with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing online registration tokens and verifying patient identification for all new registrations. Receptionists can also show patients how to use the Self Check In screen.
